 Casa Pescavera in Senegüé

We offer accommodation in a beautiful house located in the small village of Senegüé,  5 kilometers away from Sabiñanigo (province of Huesca, Spain).

This house, an old farmhouse, was completely renovated in 2022, and has nine bedrooms and four bathrooms distributed over 4 apartments: Truite Fario, Arco Iris, Thymallus, and Saumon.

It is situated in the heart of the village, a few minutes from the Rio Gallego and the famous coto de Olivan.

In the courtyard, there is a room designed for drying waders and fishing gear, and a relaxation area in the interior garden courtyard. Cars can be parked safely in this area.

Breakfasts and dinners are served in the dining room, which once was the stable.

The bedrooms are all renovated and comfortable.

The bathrooms are very modern and functional, and are equipped with a washing machine.

A little bit of history :

The village of Sénegüé is a very old village in the Tena Valley, and has the particularity of being built near a moraine dating from the last glaciation.

A Glacier Interpretation Center is adjacent to the house.

This village dates back to the 6th century and was actually a small hamlet with a castle depending on the wali of Huesca, and occupied intermittently to control the area and collect taxes.

It was in 920 that Count Galindo Aznarez II of Aragon reconquered the valley of Acumuer (Rio Aurin). His troops occupied the left bank of the Gallego at Senegüé, and this place would be a "tenencia" (a holding) in the reconquest of the Tena Valley until the 12th century.

Then for a few centuries, the village became a strategic post as it controlled one of the rare bridges in the valley: the bridge of las Pilas.
